TIMOTHY O'TOOLES “Shandy” Goal To increase sales of a typically low selling but highly profitable item. Even though the drink is advertised in the menu, it has limited awareness among most patrons. Message A fun fact about the drink inspired the message, “The practice of drinking Guinness with lemon soda was rumored to have started with the New Zealand rugby team. Try a Shandy! A refreshing mix of Guinness and Sprite.” Results Timothy O’Tooles sold three times as many Shandy’s without discounted pricing when an ad for the Shandy was featured on SportScape screens. Timothy O’Tooles sold three Shandy drinks per week before the ad and then nine drinks per week when the ad was running. Results were measured via location point-of-sale. About Timothy O'Toole's -- Professionals and tourists crowd this popular Irish sports pub for the fun atmosphere, great food and unique cozy feeling that you can only get from drinking in a dimly lit underground bar. The bar is located off the Mag Mile in Chicago. SportScape appears on four of the 42 screens at Timothy O’Tooles.
